Hi, I'm Lauren, and I mix audio for live sound, studio recordings and audio for picture. I also record and create sounds.
I have a first class BSc honours degree in Sound Engineering & Production from Birmingham City University.
My interest in sound and music stems from having played the piano and cello, and been analysing a variety of music, from an early age. Later, during A Level Physics and Music, I became enthralled with the physics of sound and vibrations, music production and live sound.
MUSIC PRODUCTION
recording / editing / mixing
I have seen the completion of 6 albums and well over 50 recordings during my time at university and HQ Recording Studio, including Spilt Milk Society's first album in 2015. The skills and techniques I have acquired during this time are constantly growing with the variety of work I have taken on.

LIVE SOUND & RECORDING ENGINEER
stage tech / system tech / FOH & Monitor engineer
I have over 3 years experience working in live sound and have had exciting opportunities to freelance for local venues in and around Birmingham, including O2 Academy, and Eastside Jazz Club, engineer at one of the largest nightclubs in Manchester, Antwerp Mansion. and stage manage/stage tech at Boomtown Fair (2018), El Dorado (2018), Detonate festival (2018) and One Tribe Festival (2017). I am currently pursing a career in live sound as a sound technician for RSH Audio.

SOUND DESIGN
location recording / ADR / foley / sound mixer / composition
I discovered my passion for sound design at university, where I completed a hand full of sound design projects, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This lead me to participate in Global Game Jam 2019 and attend the No Fixed Mix workshop held by String and Tins in London.
I now have an extensive sound library and many more projects underway.
